Vitória Miranda é eleita a melhor tenista jovem da temporada 2025

</a></p>Mineira de Belo Horizonte, Vitória Miranda, de 18 anos,venceu o prêmio de melhor jogadora júnior de tênis em cadeira de rodas em 2025, concedido pela Federação Internacional de Tênis (ITF, na sigla em inglês). A entidade regula a modalidade e também organizar torneios juvenis, seniores, Copa Davis e Billie Jean King Cup. <p>“Sinto muita gratidão; não há nada melhor do que encerrar meu último ano como júnior com este reconhecimento internacional. Minhas melhores lembranças de 2025 foram o título de simples no Aberto da Austrália, entrar no top 20 do ranking mundial feminino adulto, ser campeã sul-americana, jogar com grandes jogadoras e evoluir como pessoa – principalmente como atleta, disse Vitória, que já recebera em dezembro o troféu de melhor atleta do tênis na premiação do Comitê Paralímpico Brasileiro (CPB).</p>
<p>No circuito adulto, a mineira foi campeã de simples nos ITFs Future Séries de São Paulo (SP), Uberlândia (MG), Caldas Novas (GO) e Barranquilla (Colômbia). Além do desempenho técnico, o Prêmio Júnior do Ano considerou a atuação da brasileira foradas quadras.</p>
<p>“[Vitória] Miranda ministra palestras motivacionais em escolas e outros eventos comunitários, compartilhando sua trajetória no tênis em cadeira de rodas e enfatizando a importância da acessibilidade, da perseverança e do empoderamento para pessoas com deficiência. Ao fazer isso, ela inspira outros a acreditarem no esporte como um caminho para a transformação”,exaltou a ITF, que criou a premiação em 2020.</p>
<p>Na categoria masculina, o vencedor foi o australiano Jim Woodman, de 16 anos, que saltou 12 posições no ranking de simples em 2025 (começou o ano em 20º e terminou em 8º lugar). Em dezembro, Vitória já recebera o troféu de melhor atleta do tênis na premiação do Comitê Paralímpico Brasileiro, em São Paulo.</p>
